Have bust my zip - I'm too large

Tried to compress a large file today, using the inbuilt compression in Windows XP, but got an error ....

The compression cannot be performed because the size of the resulting Compressed (zipped) Folder is too large

Eh? The whole point of compression is to make large files smaller, isn't it?

I presume this is a 2Gb limit!

My first post!

I have been meaning to set up a blog for a while now, and decided that 2008 would be the year to do it. Not so much as a New Years resolution - more just a case of getting my arse in gear. I work in IT and spend a lot of time reading other blogs, so I guess its just my turn now.

No idea what I'm going to blog about.....
